What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to convey a mood that was proud and dignified yet calm and collect.
Why you chose this one to include: I believed that I accomplished my goal and created this mood.
Any Struggles you encountered: Truncating it to six words while still conveying a genral mood.
What did you do to make this better: Wrote a rationale for my selection.

Title: Spooky House
The assignment that inspired your choice: Spooky house blog post.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to create a suspenseful mood while still telling a logical story.
Why you chose this one to include: I feel that this story is well written after my fixes.
Any Struggles you encountered: Finding the right adjectives to accurately portray and communicate my mood.
What did you do to make this better: Interchanged and chose different adjectives to better convey mood.

Title: Disaster
The assignment that inspired your choice: Another world blog post assignment.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted this story to seem somewhat realistic. Keeping in mind the realties and legitimate worldwide situations.
Why you chose this one to include: I spent a lot of time researching some of the things included in this story and overall spent quite a bit of effort on this project.
Any Struggles you encountered: Finding some of the information was difficult.
What did you do to make this better: I reevaluated the story and changed some of the minor details that filled the cracks of the story.

Title: Unreliable Narrator
The assignment that inspired your choice: The unreliable narrator blog post.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to expose the realities of severe Post traumatic Stress Disorder cases. Though this one case is extreme, it does get the point across. PTSD is a serious case and many veterans take their own lives every day due to this disorder.
Why you chose this one to include: I spent an extra amount of energy on this short story and feel like I got the message acrossed. The message being that problems like this need to be addressed.
Any Struggles you encountered: Being able to create the story while making it seem realistic through the eyes of the narrator was difficult. A lucid story was hard to make with an unreliable narrator anyway.

Title: Freewrite #18 Blog Post
The assignment that inspired your choice: Building a character worksheet.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to create a poem that appealed to baseball players and leaders alike; Something relatable with those groups of people.
Why you chose this one to include: I was proud of being able to come up with this poem without a major assignment or a "starter" idea to influence it. I think that being creative enough to freewrite a poem like this is something to be proud of.
Any Struggles you encountered: Finding some of these rhymes was difficult
What did you do to make this better: I added a stanza in the midsection of the poem. Also Spell Checked the poem and revised it.

Title: Change My Life
The assignment that inspired your choice: Change My life blog post.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted my readers to understand the weight of this game and what it meant to me. I want them to try to understand the adrenaline that was pumping through my body and the emotions I was feeling.
Why you chose this one to include: In most of my blog posts I have not been writing on a personal level. This post was different. I kinda delved into my emotions here.
Any Struggles you encountered: I struggled remembering exactly what happened during the most intense moments of the game.
What did you do to make this better: I looked back at articles in the St. Cloud Times and the Sauk Rapids Herald to assure that I had all the correct and accurate facts.

Title: Freewrite #12 Blog Post
The assignment that inspired your choice: None.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to share my story and my experiences with the greatest games ever created by man. I made the short story relatable and homely with an inviting, calm tone.
Why you chose this one to include: Sticking with the baseball theme, this one was destined to be in my top ten. I was proud of how I constructed this story.
Any Struggles you encountered: None. This free write seemed to flow nicely for me.
What did you do to make this better: I fixed a few spelling mistakes. That's it.

Title: Mood Poem
The assignment that inspired your choice: Mood Poem blog post.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted this mood to be intense, similar to that of the Changed My Life blog post.
Why you chose this one to include: The mood that I created even gave me goosebumps just thinking about being in this position. I felt that It could not be discluded.
Any Struggles you encountered: Keeping the poem short and within format was difficult.
What did you do to make this better: I reevaluated it, revised, spell checked, and shared with a few friends for their opinions.

The assignment that inspired your choice: Love Poem Blog Post.
What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to make a parody to an actual love poem that depicts a man missing his girlfriend but with a man missing his baseball.
Why you chose this one to include: I thought that this was good humor. Being that there is not much humor in my blog, it was neccesary to involve this in my Top Ten.
Any Struggles you encountered: Finding some rhymes were difficult.
What did you do to make this better: I read it to a few of my friends.

What was your thought process in writing this? Tell a story showing learned life lessons from baseball.
Why you chose this one to include: This was an important piece of writing to me.
Any Struggles you encountered: Describing some of my feelings was difficult as well as using the proper formal diction.
What did you do to make this better: This had been revised many times in advance, no changes were made.

What was your thought process in writing this? I wanted to tell a (somewhat) realistic adventure and thrilling experience that many Minnesotans could relate with.
Why you chose this one to include: I was proud of this story, it was the longest story I had ever written.
Any Struggles you encountered: Keeping the story set in the early 90s with the technology of the time.
What did you do to make this better: I added useful dialogue for authenticity.
